MINDSIGHT
IMPAIRED Satan, the god of this evil world, has blinded the minds of those who
don't believe, so they are unable to see the glorious light of the Good
News that is shining upon them. They don't understand the message we
preach about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
– 2 Corinthians 4:4 (NLT) What
a frustrating experience it is to share your faith in Christ with
someone and then to realize that the person you are sharing with does
not understand one word that you have said. Satan loves to confuse the
mind of the unbeliever so that his or her mental sight is impaired. His
work is to distort, confound, and scramble the thoughts of those who are
presented with the truth of Christ. The news that we have to share is
the best they could possibly wish to receive, yet it goes unheard. And
what is it that the god of this age does not want them to understand? He
does not want them to know that Jesus is God in the flesh. He does not
want them to know that God wants to be in a personal relationship with
them. Instead, he wants to maintain his connection to them and to keep
them within the realm of his power. Satan will use any deceitful tactic
he can to keep them from being released from spiritual bondage.
So what do we do? We pray, and pray some more, and pray again. We
implore God to open their minds so that they will not give into Satanic
attack. And then we tell them the story again. PRAYER THOUGHT: Father, free the minds of those I
am witnessing to. Give me the boldness to share with them again and
again. |
